OUR CORE VALUES

Akoma Cares has a foundation built on what we describe as the three C’s— consciousness, commitment, and compassion. In order to serve our community, it is important that we remain conscious of the challenges associated with educating our own. With that in mind, we are aware that maintaining that level of consciousness requires commitment.

OUR MISSION

To develop an extensive information and referral database, create an international network of education support centers with a focus on educational enrichment and representation for black and brown children of the African Diaspora.

OUR TEAM

Our amazing team of regulars and part-time volunteers are committed to helping others. We take our convictions and turn them into action.
