About the event

Join us for a fun and educational day at the South Carolina State Museum! 

The day’s schedule includes a 4d movie experience, SHARKS, where we will experience strange and mysterious shark species in stunning detail. Also included is a STEAM class, Simulating Light, where we will learn about the properties of light and how we use it to see. 

During the free time between scheduled activities, you are welcome to explore all 4 floors of the museum. 

Please bring a packed lunch if you would like to join the group at 12:20 in the lunch room. 

This field trip is for all ages, every participant over the age of two will need a ticket, adults included.

This field trip is being offered for free to Akoma Cares members. The cost is $3 per person for non Akoma Cares members. 

*PLEASE NOTE: If you are not an Akoma Cares member you must show proof of homeschooling. This can be a letter of intent or a membership card for an option 3 association.
